Spiced Spinach Quiche

  Frozen chopped spinach 20 Ounce (2 packages, 10 ounce each)
  Butter/Margarine 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Onion 1 Small, chopped
  Eggs 4
  Commercial biscuit mix 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Half and half 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Basil 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Ground nutmeg 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1 Dash
  Shredded swiss cheese 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Paprika 1 Dash

Pierce packages of spinach several times with a fork.
Place on a paper plate.
Microwave each at HIGH 2 minutes.
Combine butter and chopped onion in a 2-cup glass bowl.
Microwave at HIGH 2 minutes.
Combine eggs, biscuit mix, half-and-half, basil, salt, nutmeg, and pepper in a blender jar.
Process on Low Speed for 3 minutes.
Pour mixture into a 10-inch quiche dish.
Sprinkle shredded cheese over the cream mixture.
Combine onion and butter mixture with drained spinach.
Add spinach mixture to cream and cheese mixture.
Garnish with paprika.
Microwave quiche at MEDIUM-HIGH 14 to 16 minutes.
Rotate dish 1/4 turn at 3 1/2 to 4 minute intervals.
Quiche is cooked when a knife comes out clean when inserted in the center of pie.
Center may be slightly soft, but will firm on standing 2 to 3 minutes.
