|Swiss cheese||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs), grated|
Preheat the oven to 400Â° F.
Lightly oil a 10 inch quiche dish or pie pan.
Roll out the Pastry 1/8 inch thick on a lightly floured board or pastry cloth.
Press it firmly into the prepared dish.
Prick the dough well with a fork.
Bake at 400Â° F for 5 minutes.
Reduce the heat to 350Â° F.
Combine the virginia ham, Parmesan, and chives.
Cover the bottom of the shell with the Swiss cheese.
Spread the ham mixture over the cheese.
Beat the eggs, cream, white pepper, and nutmeg together until well blended.

Depending on the saltiness of the virginia ham, it may be necessary to add a little salt.
