Hot Molasses-Milk Punch

Ingredients
  Molasses 2 Tablespoon
  Sugar 2 Tablespoon
  Water 2 Tablespoon
  Ground ginger 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Milk 4 Cup (64 tbs)
  Dark rum 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Nutmeg To Taste, freshly grated
Directions

Combine first 4 ingredients in a 2-quart saucepan, cook over low heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
Gradually add milk, cook over low heat until thoroughly heated, stirring occasionally (do not boil).
Remove from heat, stir in rum.
Serve hot, sprinkle with nutmeg.
