Fruity Cranberry Punch

Ingredients
  Cranberry juice 4 Cup (64 tbs), chilled
  Pineapple juice 4 Cup (64 tbs), chilled
  Sugar 2 Cup (32 tbs), divided
  Almond extract 2 Teaspoon
  Strawberry ice cream 1⁄2 Gallon, softened
  Whipping cream 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Ginger ale 1 Liter, chilled
Directions

In a large punch bowl, combine juices, 1-1/2 cups sugar, almond extract and ice cream.
Refrigerate until serving.
Just before serving, beat cream in a mixing bowl.
Gradually add the remaining sugar, beating until soft peaks form.
Whisk gently into chilled juice mixture.
Add ginger ale.
Refrigerate any leftovers.
