Spiced Fruit Punch

Ingredients
  Water 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Sugar 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Cinnamon stick 1⁄2 Inch, broken
  Whole cloves 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Apple juice/Apple cider 4 Cup (64 tbs), chilled
  Canned apricot nectar 12 Ounce, chilled (1 can)
  Lemon juice 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Dry white wine 1 1⁄2 Liter, chilled (2 bottles, 750 milliliter each)
Directions

In a small saucepan combine water, sugar, stick cinnamon, and whole cloves.
Bring to boiling; reduce heat.
Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
Cover and chill for 2 to 24 hours.
Pour the sugar mixture through a fine-mesh sieve; discard spices.
In a punch bowl combine the sugar mixture, apple juice or cider, apricot nectar, and lemon juice.
Pour in wine.
