Fruit And Wine Punch
|Strawberries||1 Pint, cut into 3/4 inch dice|
|Ripe peaches||2 , pitted and cut into 3/4 inch dice|
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Lemon juice||2 Tablespoon|
|Brandy||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Dry white wine||1 1⁄2 Liter, chilled (such as riesling, 2 bottles of 750 millilitre each)|
1 In a medium size bowl, mix the strawberries, peaches, sugar, and lemon juice;stir in the brandy.
2 Cover tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate at least for 4 hours or overnight.
3 In a punch bowl, combine the fruit and its liquid with the wine .
4 Serve chilled, spooning some of the fruit into each serving with the optional mint sprigs.
