Hot Spiced Wine Punch
|Apple cider||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Packed dark brown sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Orange peel||1 , grated|
|Lemon peel||1 , grated|
|Cinnamon sticks||3 , broken|
|Whole cloves||1 Teaspoon|
|White wine||3 1⁄4 Cup (52 tbs)|
1. Combine all ingredients except wine in a 3-quart glass mixing bowl. Set microwave oven at Time Cook (power level 10) for 6 minutes, and then Time Cook (power level 4) for 10 minutes.
2. Add wine to cider mixture. Microwave, uncovered, at Time Cook (power level 5) for about 5 minutes, or until punch is quite warm. Strain into punch bowl. Garnish with orange slices, if desired.
