|Sharp cheddar cheese||1⁄2 Pound, grated (Around 2 Cups)|
|Milk||2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)|
|Prepared mustard||2 Tablespoon|
|Worcestershire sauce||1 Teaspoon|
Spread bread with butter or margarine, then cut into large cubes.
Place about one third in an 8-cup baking dish.
Sprinkle with one third of the cheese; repeat with remaining bread and cheese to make 2 more layers of each.
Beat eggs with milk, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and paprika in a medium-size bowl; pour over bread-cheese layers; cover.
Chill at least for 3 hours or even overnight.
Bake, uncovered, in moderate oven (350Â°) for 1 hour, or until puffed and golden.
Let stand for 10 minutes to cool slightly before serving.
