Golden Puff Sticks

Ingredients
  Flour 125 Gram
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Baking powder 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Butter 125 Gram
  Cottage cheese 125 Gram
  Milk 1 Tablespoon
  Walnuts/Peanuts 4 Tablespoon, chopped
Directions

Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
Rub in fat.
Add cottage cheese and half the quantity of walnuts; form into a dough.
Do not knead much.
Wrap the dough in a polythene bag and chill for one hour.
Roll out dough on a lightly floured board into a rectangle 1/4 inch thick.
Brush the surface with milk and sprinkle remaining walnuts; gently press with back of a spoon.
Cut into 2 inch x 1/2 inch strips.
Lift the strips carefully and place on an ungreased baking sheet.
Chill for one hour.
Bake on top shelf of oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
