Fig and Ginger Pudding

The fig and ginger pudding is a spiced fig pudding flavored with ginger. Prepared with gelatin, the fig and ginger pudding is delicous and refreshing as a dessert and can be served in glasses with a long spoon for a beautiful presentation.
Ingredients
  Crystallized ginger 1⁄2 Pound
  Figs 1 1⁄2 Pound
  Sugar 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Water 5 Cup (80 tbs)
  Powdered ginger 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Granulated gelatin 1⁄2 Ounce
  Cold water 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Whipped cream 1 Tablespoon
Directions

GETTING READY
1.Start by cutting the crystallized ginger and figs into tiny pieces
MAKING
2.In a bowl, dissolve the granulated sugar in the water, and add the powdered ginger, the crystallized ginger and the figs
3.Place all in a double boiler and simmer slowly all day
4.The entire mass must form a soft pulp so that the ingredients will scarcely be recognized
5.Soften the gelatin in the cold water and stir into the mixture while hot
6.Turn into high-stemmed glasses
SERVING
7.Serve with a sauce of your choice
