Golden Butterscotch Bread Pudding

Ingredients
  Milk 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Eggs 2 , well beaten
  Butter 3 Tablespoon
  Stale soft bread cubes 2 Cup (32 tbs) (packed)
  Chopped dates 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Nutmeg 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Lightly packed brown sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄3 Teaspoon
  Vanilla 1 Teaspoon
Directions

Scald milk and add remaining ingredients.
Pour into a well greased 1 1/2 quart casserole and dot with bits of butter and sprinkle with extra brown sugar and nutmeg.
Bake at 350F for about 1 hour.
