|Canned tomato puree||10 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Lightly packed brown sugar||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Bread slices||6 , cut into 0.5 inch cubes|
|Melted butter/Margarine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), melted|
Mix tomato puree, brown sugar, salt, and 3/4 cup boiling water together in a saucepan; bring to boiling and boil 5 minutes.
Arrange bread cubes in a 1 1/2 quart baking dish; pour butter over them and toss lightly.
Pour hot tomato sauce over bread cubes.
Bake at 350Â°F 30 minutes.
Garnish with overlapping slices of tomatoes sprinkled with minced parsley.
