Date Bread Pudding
|Bread||2 Cup (32 tbs), cubed (stale)|
|Warm milk||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Pitted dates||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs), chopped|
|Apple juice||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Soak bread cubes 10 minutes in warm milk.
Add chopped dates, apple juice, sugar and salt.
Beat eggs well, and stir in lightly with fork.
Turn mixture into greased baking dish, and sprinkle nutmeg and cinnamon over top.
Set dish in shallow pan of hot water, and bake at 350 Â°F. about 1 hour or until set.
Serve warm with cream or Hard Sauce.
