Chocolate Bread Pudding
|Milk||4 Cup (64 tbs)|
|Evaporated milk||6 Ounce|
|Almond extract||2 Tablespoon|
|Sugar||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Coconut||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Butter||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
Soak bread in milk.
Beat egg yolks and 1 egg white; add evaporated milk, 1 tablespoon almond extract and 1 1/2 cups sugar gradually.
Add mixture to bread and milk; add coconut and butter.
Bake at 300 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes or until inserted knife comes out clean.
Beat remaining egg whites until soft peaks form.
Add remaining sugar and almond extract gradually; beat until egg whites are glossy.
Spoon meringue over pudding.
Sprinkle with additional coconut.
Bake at 325 degrees for 5 to 7 minutes or until lightly browned.
