Once A Week Kitchen - How To Make Christmas Pudding

Ingredients
  Self raising flour 1 1⁄2 Ounce
  Mixed spice 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Suet 4 Ounce
  Grated nutmeg 1 Teaspoon
  White bread crumbs 4 Ounce
  Lemon 1⁄2 , grated rind
  Orange 1⁄2 , grated rind
  Mixed fruit 12 Ounce (currants, raisins, sultanas and glace cherries)
  Black treacle 1 Tablespoon
  Dark brown sugar 3 Ounce
  Egg 2 Small, beaten
  Stout 1⁄4 Pint
Directions

MAKING
1. In a bowl, place all ingredients, except sugar and mix well.
2. Add sugar and mix again, transfer to a smaller bowl.
3. Cover with a parchment non grease paper, tie with a string, cover tightly with a foil.
4. Place in a steamer and steam for about 7 hours.

SERVING
5. At the time of serving, steam for some more hours, if desired, and serve.
