1. In a basin, tip in the breadcrumbs and marmalade and mix well.
2. Melt the butter with milk and pour over the breadcrumbs. Mix well and then add the beaten egg to the mixture
3. Pour this mixture into a greased foil pudding basin and set aside to steam for 2 1/2 hours. Cool completely.
4. Serve at room temperature or pack in heavy-duty foil lid, or by putting basin in a polythene bag and freeze for later
