Christmas Fig Pudding
|Bread crumbs||1⁄2 Pound|
|Sugar||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Baking powder||4 Teaspoon|
|Nuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped|
|Dried figs||2 Pound, chopped|
|Suet||1⁄2 Pound, diced|
|Milk||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
Combine crumbs, sugar, baking powder and cinna- mon in large bowl; add nuts, figs and suet.
Beat milk and eggs together; stir into crumb mixture.
Turn batter into greased mold; cover.
Let stand for 1 hour.
Steam for about 4 hours.
Serve with a hard sauce or hot lemon sauce.
