Ingredients
  Flour 1⁄4 Pound
  White breadcrumbs 3⁄4 Pound
  Soda bicarbonate 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon (Leveled)
  Demerara sugar 1 Pound
  Suet 1⁄2 Pound
  Currants 1 Pound
  Sultanas 1⁄2 Pound
  Raisins 1 Pound
  Mixed peel 3⁄4 Pound
  Nutmeg 1
  Eggs 5 Small
Directions

MAKING
1. In a basin sieve flour, salt, bicarbonate of soda and grated nutmeg together.
2. Add breadcrumbs, sugar and shredded suet.
3. Chop the raisins and peel.
4. Add cleaned currants and sultanas.
5. Add beaten eggs to it and mix.
6. Add some milk if required.
7. Steam for 8 hours.

SERVING
8. Serve with brandy, rum or hard sauce.
