Steamed Date Pudding
|Potato||8 Ounce, cooked, sieved (250 Gram)|
|Dates||3 Ounce, chopped (75 Gram)|
|Egg||1 , beaten|
|Castor sugar||1 Ounce (25 Gram)|
|Butter||2 Ounce, melted (50 Gram)|
|Orange||1 , rind grated|
|Orange||1⁄2 , juiced|
1) In a bowl, combine the potato, dates, egg, sugar, butter, orange rind and juice and mix well. For a softer consistency, add more orange juice.
2) Add the mixture into a lightly greased basin.
3) Place lid and steam for 1 1/2 hours.
4) Serve hot Steamed Date Pudding topped with cream or a brandy sauce.
