Steamed Fudge Pudding
|Unsweetened chocolate||3 Ounce|
|Baking powder||2 Teaspoon|
|Flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Milk||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Chopped walnuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|For sugar cream sauce|
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Light cream||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Vanilla extract||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
Melt chocolate; set aside.
Grease a 1-1/2 quart mold; set aside.
In a medium mixing bowl, cream butter or margarine and sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in eggs.
Stir in baking powder, salt and vanilla.
Beat in flour alternately with milk
Add melted chocolate and walnuts.
Stir until blended.
Pour into prepared mold.
Cover with aluminum foil and press overhanging foil edges against outside of mold.
Loop a large rubber band over foil and around top of mold to seal, or tie foil securely with string.
Place mold on a rack in a large pot Pour enough water in pot to reach halfway up the mold.
Bring to a boil; simmer 1-1/2 hours or until skewer inserted in pudding comes out clean.
Remove mold from pot.
Cool on wire rack 10 minutes.
Prepare Sugar-Cream Sauce.
Spoon sauce over warm pudding.
Sugar-Cream Sauce: Combine butter or margarine, sugar, cream and vanilla in a medium saucepan.
Heat to boiling.
