Croissant And Apple Pudding

Ingredients
  Milk 3 Cup (48 tbs), heated
  Egg yolks 6
  Granulated sugar 9 Tablespoon (1/2 Cup Plus 1 Tablespoon)
  Croissants 12 Ounce, torn into 1-inch pieces (About 6 Large Ones, Divided)
  Croissants 12 Ounce, torn into 1 inch pieces (6 Large Size)
  Golden delicious apples 2 , peeled, cored and thinly sliced

  Raisins 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Ground cinnamon 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Confectioners sugar 1 Tablespoon (For Garnish)
Directions

GETTING READY
1 Position a rack in the center of the oven and heat to 350 degrees farenheit.
2 Lightly butter an 8-inch square glass baking dish.

MAKING
3 In a medium bowl, make a custard by whisking the milk, yolks, and 1/2 cup of the sugar to dissolve the sugar.
4 In another medium bowl, place the croissants and toss with 2 cups of the custard.
5 Let stand, giving the croissants a stir every few minutes, until they have absorbed most of the custard,for about 15 minutes.
6 Spread half of the croissants in the baking dish.
7 Top with the apples and raisins and sprinkle with the remaining 1 tablespoon of sugar and the cinnamon.
8 Spread with the remaining croissants.
9 Pour the remaining custard over the croissants. Place the dish on a baking dish.
10 Bake until golden brown and the center feels set when pressed gently, for about 1 hour, 10 minutes.
11 Cool for 5 minutes.

SERVING
12 Dust the top with confectioners' sugar and serve warm.
