Pamper your taste-buds with this incredibly tasty Steamed Syrup Pudding that is bursting so full of flavor. This Steamed Syrup Pudding is a perfect dessert companion to any meal, loved by foodies of all ages and pretty much goes with all occasions.
  Custard powder 2 Tablespoon
  Syrup 2 Tablespoon
  Sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Baking powder 3 Teaspoon
  Flour 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Butter 3 Tablespoon
  Milk 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon

Take out 2'tblspns, from the flour and re- place it with the custard powder.
This makes the pudding a nice yellow colour.
Sift the flour with the baking powder and the salt.
Rub in the butter until mixture resembles fine crumbs.
Add the sugar and mix well with the milk.
Make it of a dropping consistency, and not too wet.
Then grease a basin well and flour it.
Put syrup into basin, then drop the mixture on top.
Cover and steam for about 3 hours.
Test after 21/2-hrs. by pricking with a steel needle.
