Steamed Chocolate Pudding
|Soft butter/Margarine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Egg||1 , beaten|
|Vanilla extract||1 Teaspoon|
|Sifted all purpose flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Baking powder||2 Teaspoon|
|Milk||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Unsweetened chocolate squares||4 Ounce, melted (2 Squares)|
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add egg and vanilla.
Beat until blended.
Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk, beating until smooth.
Stir in chocolate.
Put in greased pudding mold (1 quart), cover tightly, and put on rack in kettle.
Add boiling water to come halfway up sides of mold.
Cover kettle and steam pudding for about 1 hour.
Turn out of mold and serve warm with hard sauce.
