Red Grants (Sago)
|Currants juice||1 1⁄2 Pound|
|Minced bitter almonds||1⁄4 Ounce|
|Water||1 1⁄2 Pint|
|Sweet almonds||1⁄2 Ounce, minced|
Put all the ingredients, except the sago, into a saucepan and bring to the boil; then add the sago, which has first been well rinsed in cold water.
Boil for 1/4-hour, stirring often.
Turn the mixture into moulds or cups rinsed with cold water and leave to get cold.
Turn out and serve with cream and sugar.
