Old Time Spiced Bread Pudding
|Buttered bread slices||6|
|Firmly packed dark brown sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Ground cinnamon||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Milk||2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs), scalded|
|Cherry jam||1 Tablespoon|
Dice buttered bread into 1 1/2 -quart shallow pudding pan.
Sprinkle with sugar mixed with spices.
Beat salt and eggs slightly.
Gradually beat in milk and pour over bread.
Bake in preheated moderate oven (325°F.) until set, about 30 minutes.
Top with cherry jam.
