Butterscotch Sauce For Christmas Pudding

Ingredients
  Cornstarch 1 Tablespoon
  Brown sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Half and half cream 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Corn syrup 2 Tablespoon
  Salt 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Butter 2 Tablespoon
  Rum/Brandy 2 Tablespoon
Directions

In microproof pitcher stir together cornstarch and brown sugar.
Add cream, corn syrup and salt.
Cook on HIGH 4 minutes or until thickened.
Stir in butter and flavouring.
If substituting flavour extract, use only 1/2 tsp.
