Chocolate Marshmallow Pudding

  Unsweetened chocolate 2 1⁄2 Ounce (2 1/2 squares)
  Sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  All purpose flour 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Milk 2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)
  Marshmallows 12
  Egg 1 , well beaten
  Vanilla 1 Teaspoon

Melt chocolate over hot water in top of double boiler.
Thoroughly mix the sugar, flour, and salt, add to chocolate, and stir until well blended.
Add about 1 cup of the milk, stir to a smooth paste, and stir in the rest of the milk.
Cook over boiling water until thickened, stirring constantly.
Cut marshmallows in quarters with a scissors dipped in hot water and add to the thickened chocolate mixture; cover, and continue cooking 15 minutes with occasional stirring.
Stir a little of the hot mixture into the beaten egg and return to double boiler for 2 minutes, stirring all the time.
Then remove from heat, add vanilla.
Serve warm or cold with cream if desired.
