Christmas Pudding Candy

Ingredients
  Sugar 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Light cream 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Butter 1 Tablespoon
  Vanilla 1 Teaspoon
  Dates 1 Pound, chopped
  Figs 1 Pound, chopped
  Raisins 1 Pound
  Coconut 1 Pound
  Nuts 2 Cup (32 tbs), chopped
Directions

Cook sugar, cream, and butter to a soft ball.
Beat until creamy then beat in fruit and nuts.
If coconut is coarse, grind it.
When well mixed, roll as for meat loaf.
Wrap in wet cloth, then in wax paper and put away to ripen two weeks, or longer, in refrigerator.
