Orange Marmalade Bread Pudding
|Day old bread slices||5 , toasted|
|Softened butter||3 Tablespoon|
|Orange marmalade||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Eggs||3 , slightly beaten|
|Milk||1 3⁄4 Cup (28 tbs)|
|Lemon juice||1 Tablespoon|
|Cream/Lemon sauce||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (For Serving)|
Spread the slices of toast (do not remove crusts) with all the butter and marmalade.
Cut bread in cubes and turn into buttered 6-cup casserole.
Mix eggs with milk, lemon juice and nutmeg, and pour over the toast cubes.
Bake in a slow oven (300° F.) for 45 minutes, or until custard tests done.
Serve warm or cold, with cream or Lemon Sauce.
