Apple Holiday Pudding

|Soft shortening||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Brown sugar||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Sifted all-purpose flour||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Baking soda||1 Teaspoon|
|Shredded peeled apple||2 Cup (32 tbs) (Firmly Packed)|
|Raisins||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Currants||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Chopped dates||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Chopped peel||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Soft bread crumbs||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Brandy/Sherry||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
Cream shortening, sugar and molasses together.
Add sifted dry ingredients, then stir in remaining ingredients and spoon into greased pudding molds.
Cover with greased brown paper or foil.
Steam 2 hours for small molds, 3 hours for large.
