Apple Holiday Pudding

Ingredients
  Soft shortening 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Brown sugar 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Molasses 2 Tablespoon
  Sifted all-purpose flour 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Baking soda 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
  Nutmeg 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Allspice 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Ginger 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Cloves 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Shredded peeled apple 2 Cup (32 tbs) (Firmly Packed)
  Raisins 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Currants 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Chopped dates 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Chopped peel 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Soft bread crumbs 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Brandy/Sherry 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
Directions

Cream shortening, sugar and molasses together.
Add sifted dry ingredients, then stir in remaining ingredients and spoon into greased pudding molds.
Cover with greased brown paper or foil.
Steam 2 hours for small molds, 3 hours for large.
