Fresh Prune Plum Pudding
|All purpose flour||1 Cup (16 tbs) (sifted)|
|Sugar||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Milk||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Shortening||3 Tablespoon, melted|
|Fresh prune plums||2 Cup (32 tbs), sliced|
|Boiling water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Sift flour, 1/2 cup sugar, salt, and baking powder together into a mixing bowl.
Add milk and melted shortening.
Beat until well blended.
Turn into a greased baking pan, 8 x 8 x 2 inches.
Cover with sliced plums and sprinkle with remaining 1 cup sugar.
Pour boiling water over all.
Bake in preheated moderate oven (375Â°F.) for 45 minutes, or until done.
