Rice Pudding With Cinnamon
|Hot water||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|White rice||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Evaporated milk||12 Ounce (1 can)|
|Hot water||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Sugar||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Raisins||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Powdered cinnamon||1 Tablespoon|
1. Bring 2 cups of hot water and 1 cup of rice to boil, then lower the heat and simmer until the rice has soaked up the water, about 15 to 20 minutes.
2. When the rice is done (tender), add the evaporated milk, 2/3 cup hot water, sugar, cinnamon sticks, and raisins. Bring to a slow boil, stirring constantly, and then remove from heat. Before serving, remove the cinnamon sticks (or leave one in for little girls who like to lick the pudding off the cinnamon stick).
3. Spoon into 4 (4-ounce) bowls or 1 medium (16-ounce) serving bowl. Sprinkle top with powdered cinnamon (optional).
Serve warm, or refrigerate and serve cold.
