Apple Pudding Steamed

Ingredients
  Apples 4 Ounce (After Peeling And Coring)
  Breadcrumbs 4 Ounce
  Chopped suet 4 Ounce
  Sugar 4 Ounce (Moist)
  Nutmeg 1 Pinch
  Salt 1 Pinch
  Eggs 2
  Milk 1⁄4 Pint
Directions

Chop the apples coarsely.
Mix together the breadcrumbs, suet, sugar, nutmeg and salt.
Add the apples.
Beat the eggs.
Stir in the eggs and milk, and mix well.
Leave to stand for 1 hr to allow the bread to soak.
The mixture should then drop easily from the spoon.
If it is too stiff, add a little more milk.
Pour into a well-greased basin, cover, and steam for 2 hr Serve with custard sauce.
