Basic Sponge Pudding

Ingredients
  Soft margarine 2 Ounce (50 Gram)
  Castor sugar 2 Ounce (50 Gram)
  Egg 1 , beaten
  Self rising flour 4 Ounce (100 Gram)
  Milk 60 Milliliter (4 Tablespoon)
Directions

1. Beat together the margarine, sugar, egg, vanilla flavouring and flour until smooth. Gradually add the milk to give a soft dropping consistency.
2. Spoon into a greased 600 ml (1 pint) pudding basin and level the surface.
3. Microwave on LOW for 7-9 minutes or until the top of the sponge mixture is only slightly moist and a wooden cocktail stick inserted in the centre comes out clean.
4. Leave to stand for 5 minutes before turning out on to a heated serving dish. Serve with Custard sauce
