Basic Sponge Pudding
|Soft margarine||2 Ounce (50 Gram)|
|Castor sugar||2 Ounce (50 Gram)|
|Egg||1 , beaten|
|Self rising flour||4 Ounce (100 Gram)|
|Milk||60 Milliliter (4 Tablespoon)|
1. Beat together the margarine, sugar, egg, vanilla flavouring and flour until smooth. Gradually add the milk to give a soft dropping consistency.
2. Spoon into a greased 600 ml (1 pint) pudding basin and level the surface.
3. Microwave on LOW for 7-9 minutes or until the top of the sponge mixture is only slightly moist and a wooden cocktail stick inserted in the centre comes out clean.
4. Leave to stand for 5 minutes before turning out on to a heated serving dish. Serve with Custard sauce
