Bishop Whipple Pudding
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Sifted all purpose flour||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Coarsely chopped nuts||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Chopped pitted dates||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Brown sugar sauce||1 Cup (16 tbs) (Adjust Quantity As Needed)|
Beat eggs until thick and lemon-colored.
Stir in sugar.
Sift flour with baking powder.
Add flour to egg mixture.
Beat until well blended.
Fold in nuts and dates.
Spoon mixture into well-greased 9-inch layer-cake pan.
Bake in preheated moderate oven (350°F.) for 20 to 30 minutes, or until top is golden brown.
