Apple Spoon Pudding

|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|All-purpose flour||1 Cup (16 tbs), sifted|
|Melted butter||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Egg||1 , well beaten|
|Chopped tart apple||2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)|
|Vanilla ice cream||1 Pint|
Sift together sugar, flour, soda and spices into a bowl.
Add remaining ingredients, stirring to blend and form a soft dough.
Spoon into buttered 1 1/2-quart casserole.
Bake in a 350° F oven 35 minutes.
