Ail Time Favorite Puff Pudding
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Sugar/Honey||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Grated lemon rind||1 Teaspoon|
|Lemon juice||3 Tablespoon|
|All purpose flour||2 Tablespoon|
|Post grape nuts||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Milk||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Egg whites||2 , stiffly beaten|
Thoroughly cream butter with sugar and lemon rind.
Add egg yolks; beat until light and fluffy.
Blend in lemon juice, flour, cereal and milk.
Fold in beaten egg whites.
Four into greased 1-quart baking dish; place the dish in pan of hot water.
Bake at 325°F. for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until top springs back when lightly touched.
When done, pudding has a cakelike layer on top with custard below.
