Ingredients
  Flour 1 Pound
  Chopped suet 1 Pound
  Mixed peel 1⁄4 Pound
  Currants 1 Pound
  Raisins 1 Pound
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Brown sugar 1⁄2 Pound
  Baking soda 1 Teaspoon (Big Spoonful)
  Baking powder 1 Teaspoon (Big Spoonful)
  Allspice 1 Teaspoon
  Pastry spice 1 Teaspoon
Directions

Put all ingredients in a large bowl.
Grate and add enough grated carrots to make a moist mixture.
Put into 3 large crisco tins well greased, put on covers and boil 2 hours, keep boiling.
