Steamed Date Nut Pudding
|Flour||1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)|
|Walnuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped|
|Raisins||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Baking soda||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Hot water||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Molasses||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Butter||2 Tablespoon, melted|
In medium bowl, combine flour, walnuts, dates, raisins, cinnamon, baking soda and salt.
Stir in water, molasses, egg and butter.
Pour batter into a greased 10 cup fluted tube dish or 6 cup fluted glass mold.
Cover completely with plastic wrap.
Cook at MEDIUM 8 to 10 minutes, or until pudding is set.
Release plastic wrap.
Let stand, covered, 10 minutes.
Invert onto serving platter; serve warm or cover until cool.
