  Desiccated coconut 1 Ounce
  Brown sugar 1 Ounce
  Mixed spice 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Apples/Fruit 2
  Water/Sugar 1 Tablespoon

Combine brown sugar, spice, coconut with basic mixture.
Put sliced apples or other fruit into a dish, adding a little water and sugar.
Cover with topping and cook in the centre of a very moderate oven (375° F.€”Gas Mark 4) for approximately 40 minutes.
