Peach Bread Pudding
|Milk||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|White bread slice||5 , quartered diagonally|
|Canned peach slices/One 8 3/4-ounce can fruit cocktail||8 3⁄4 Ounce, drained (1 Can)|
|Sugar||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Ground cinnamon||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Ground ginger/Ground nutmeg||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
Preheat oven to 350°.
Combine eggs, milk, and vanilla; add bread quarters and drained peaches or fruit cocktail.
In small bowl combine sugar, cinnamon, and ginger or nutmeg.
Reserve 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar mixture; set aside.
Add remaining sugar mixture to peach mixture; mix well.
Turn into a 10x6x2-inch baking dish.
Sprinkle with reserved sugar mixture.
Place baking dish in a shallow baking pan on oven rack.
Pour hot water around baking dish to a depth of 1 inch.
Bake in 350° oven 25 to 30 minutes.
Top with whipped cream, if desired.
