Ingredients
  Flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Soda 1 Teaspoon
  Carrots 1 Cup (16 tbs), grated
  Potatoes 1 Cup (16 tbs), grated
  Apples 1 Cup (16 tbs), grated
  Raisins 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Dates 1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped
  Cloves 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Nutmeg 1 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
  Maraschino cherries 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs), cut in half
  Nuts 1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped
  Dry bread crumbs 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Suet 1 Cup (16 tbs), finley ground
Directions

Place in greased molds or cans; cover with aluminum foil or lids and steam 2 1/2 hours.
