Butterscotch Pudding Cookies

Ingredients
  Shortening 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Butterscotch pudding 4 Ounce
  Egg 1
  Flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Quick cooking oatmeal 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Cream of tartar 1 Teaspoon
  Baking soda 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Directions

Cream butter, pudding and egg together.
Add balance of ingredients and mix well.
Drop on greased cookie sheet, flatten with a fork, and bake at 350° for about 20 minutes.

imho, it has to be the box of pudding. Adding *prepared* pudding would be too much liquid to make cookies.
