Apple Rice Pudding
|Rice||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Boiling water||8 Cup (128 tbs)|
|Eggs||2 , separated|
|Sugar||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Raisins||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Butter||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), melted|
1.Start by preheating the oven to 350F degrees
2.Also wash the rice and drain it
3.In a boiler, boil the rice in salted water until tender.
5.Beat egg yolks, add sugar, raisins, cinnamon and salt.
6.Pare and dice apples.
7.Combine rice, eggs and apples.
8.Add melted butter; mix thoroughly.
9.Beat egg whites stiff but not dry.
10.Fold into rice mixture.
11.Pour into greased baking dish and bake in moderate oven for 40 minutes, or until apples are tender.
12.Serve with vanilla ice cream
