Toasty Prune Betty

Ingredients
  Toasted bread cubes 4 Cup (64 tbs)
  Cooked prunes 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs), sliced
  Chopped cooking apples 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Prune liquid 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Water 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Sugar 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Butter 2 Tablespoon
Directions

Place half of toasted bread cubes in buttered casserole or pan (about 1 1/2 quart size), add prunes in a layer, apples, thenremaining bread cubes.
Combine liquids, sugar, salt, cinnamon and butter and boil for 2 to 3 minutes.
Pour over bread cubes.
Bake covered in moderate oven (375°F.) about 1 hour.
Serves 6.
