Prune Pockets

Ingredients
  Prunes 15 Medium, pitted and cut into quarters
  Water 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Brandy extract 1 Teaspoon
  Grated orange peel 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Granulated sugar 1 Tablespoon
  Cornstarch 3⁄4 Teaspoon, dissolved in 1 tablespoon water
  Refrigerated buttermilk flaky biscuits 5 Ounce (1 Package Of 5 Biscuits)
  Confectionery sugar 1 Teaspoon
Directions

In small saucepan combine prunes, water, extract, and orange peel and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and let simmer until mixture is a pasty consistency, about 5 minutes.
Combine granulated sugar and dissolved cornstarch; add to prune mixture and stir until thoroughly combined.
Remove from heat and let cool.
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Separate biscuits and roll each between 2 sheets of wax paper, forming five 4-inch circles.
Spoon 1/5 of prune mixture onto center of each circle and fold each in half, turnover style; moisten outer edges of dough and, using the tines of a fork, press edges to seal.
Transfer turnovers to nonstick baking sheet and bake until golden brown, 10 to 12 minutes.
Remove turnovers to wire rack to cool.
