Spicy Breakfast Prunes
|Dried prunes||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Hot water||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Firmly packed brown sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Cinnamon stick/1 teaspoon ground cinnamon||1|
|Whole allspice/1/4 teaspoon ground allspice||10|
In 1 or 1 1/2-quart glass casserole, combine all ingredients.
Cook covered with casserole lid, 4 minutes or until mixture starts to boil.
Allow to cool at room temperature 4 hours or overnight.
Remove cinnamon stick and whole allspice before serving.
Store leftovers in refrigerator.
