Piselli Al Prosciutto

Ingredients
  Butter 1 Ounce
  Onions 1 Ounce, chopped
  Fresh shelled green peas 3⁄4 Pound
  Chicken stock 3 Tablespoon
  Prosciutto 2 Ounce, cut in 1 1/4-inch julienne strips
  Salt To Taste
  Black pepper To Taste, ground
Directions

MAKING
1. In a small saucepan, melt butter over a moderate heat and cook the onions for 7 to 8 minutes, stirring frequently until they are soft but not brown.
2. Add green peas and chicken stock, cover, and cook for 15 to 20 minutes, until peas are tender. Add the strips of prosciutto and cook, uncovered, stirring frequently, for about 2 minutes more, until all the liquid is absorbed.
3. Season well.

SERVING
4. Serve the peas in a heated bowl.
