Chocolate Pretzel Cookies
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Unsweetened chocolate square||2 Ounce, melted (2 Squares, 1 Ounce Each)|
|Vanilla extract||1 Teaspoon|
|All purpose flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Ground cinnamon||3⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Ground ginger||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Ground allspice||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
Cream the 1 cup sugar gradually into butter, beating until light and fluffy.
Add eggs, chocolate, and vanilla extract and beat well.
Combine dry ingredients except sugar and stir into creamed mixture: blend well.
Roll about 2 teaspoons dough on lightly floured surface with hands to form strip about 9 inches long.
Place on cookie sheets and twist into pretzel shapes.
Sprinkle with sugar.
Bake at 350° for 10 minutes, or until done.
