|Butter||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Whole wheat pastry flour||2 3⁄4 Cup (44 tbs)|
|Eggs||3 , well beaten|
|Light cream||2 Tablespoon|
|Honey||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Egg white||1 (For Glaze)|
|Finely chopped almonds||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
Cut butter into flour as for pie crust.
Combine eggs, cream, vanilla, honey, and salt.
Add to flour and butter mixture and chill.
Preheat oven to 350° F.
Form into rolls about 8 inches long and as thick as a pencil.
Twist into a pretzel shape.
Beat egg white and add milk.
Brush mixture over each pretzel and sprinkle with almonds.
Arrange on ungreased cookie sheets, and bake in preheated oven about 12 to 15 minutes.
